Dear Make Music Portlanders,
Make Music Portland will be back on June 21st for our 9th annual celebration! This year we will offer both in-person and virtual events! In order to comply with state guidelines around COVID-19, our in-person events will be reduced and must follow all state and local, social distancing and capacity limits.
If you are interested in helping coordinate the 2021 celebration please contact us!
Make Music Portland is a day-long, totally free musical event, aimed at bringing local performers into the spotlight. Along with hundreds of cities around the world, every year on June 21 we ring in the longest day of the year with music and artistry. Join us as we fill local parks, restaurants, backyards, and public and private spaces with hundreds of performances, ranging in style and genre.
This is a free event. There are no costs to attend any performance, or to come join us making music. In addition, we organize free community events (think jam sessions, musical lessons, and the like) that happen throughout the day on June 21.
A branch of the international Fête de la Musique, Make Music Portland is a community organized event, with the generous help of dedicated local volunteers. We are always looking for new ideas, new volunteers, and fresh input. Shoot us an email if you’re curious.
If you would like to reach us for any other reason (hosting a performance, volunteering, being a community partner/sponsor, or for any reason) please send us an email.
